Temp probe does not need to be replaced unless you pinch the wire or something. If well kept should last. However, I will say I did have one go out ( I crimped it although no visable damage when I was pulling som other cords out and got caught so good lessen to keep cords organized ). When they go out usually will create a very high temp reading 100+ when that happens fans say on and heater never cuts on. What I would do is add a command the if temp > 100 then fans off. In the wintertime at least your not adding insult to injury. The probes are only $15 or so, may be a good idea to have a replacement on hand especially if you own multiple units it makes sense. Now that I think of it I should do that.

PH probe where is no real set time. Once it gets to where it can't be calibrated anymore is when it needs to be replaced.

Thanks David. Are there any suggested/recommended period for recalibrating the PH probe?

The calibration fluid keeps if you store it in an air tight container. To make it easy to remember I just time it with changing out my RO filters every 6 month-ish.

How far off does it get from one month to the other ? I personally don't depend on the PH meter for much of anything except for the extreme highs so off a few hundredths isn't significant. Not attempting to control a CA reactor or anything with it.

Thanks guys. I have been seeing some higher then usual PH readings and I want to check the more obvious reasons before i start digging deeper.

Yeah I would question the probe. This time of season most people are fighting lower PH due issues from CO2 levels in the home.

Yeah, I used to use the pH probe more... I only watch alkalinity now. You'd be surprised how long a probe will be properly calibrated.... I was finding that I'd be off .1 or .15 after a month. I used to log that stuff much more frequently and draw pretty charts...
