Tank Tours! We need volunteers/hosts.
With EB coming in the very near future, it would be nice to take EB on some of the local tanks around town. I am more than happy to host, but would like some other people to as well. Otherwise, we'll have to drag him to cheeseland to see the bryopsis farm at tico mike's. There are plenty of you with awesome tanks, and it would be nice to have some tanks a little more closer than the St. Croix River area to take him to.
Otherwise, if no one else wants to volunteer, we'll take him over to Hudson to see Mike's tank, Lakeland to see Mary's, and whoever else lives out that way (cough, cough, Paul, cough).
When Shimek came to town, I think this was really a hit with the club. It'll be a great time to talk with Eric on a more informal basis. Please let us know if you'd be willing!
Thanks,
|

Wouldn't the fact that Hudson is too far exclude many other reefers on the south side and west side as well ?
How long do you want that tank tour to be ? 4 hours, 6 hour 8 hours ?
The shorter the time the closer to your first stop you would want all the other places to be.
Just my $0.02

If you can come up with a better plan, you're more than welcome.
When Shimek was here, they ended up in Northfield. The thought is to start north and head south, or vice-versa, or in some type of circle that will take us around the city. If we did that, heading to Hudson and then coming back to the city is an 45min-hour of driving in and of itself. But starting in Burnsville, stopping in Mpls, going to St. Paul, hitting a northern suburb, where all driving is around 10-20 minutes between houses, is a little more reasonable. Also, it spreads things around, so we can have people who live in the area join the house in that area, so we don't end up with 100 people at someone's house.
Let's not debate. Let's find some volunteers and then come up with a route.
