The last few mornings after the actinic comes on a few of my acropora have been spawning. Yesterday I noticed my
flasher wrasse seemed to be missing. Found him late in the afternoon with his head poking out of the rocks, gasping. It was obvious he had been eating the spawn, still had it coming out of his mouth. I siphoned it away from him. Today he still isn't looking good and is mostly hiding. Does the spawn make them sick and if so why is he eating it? Is it protocol to siphon this stuff out immediately? Everything else in the tank seems fine.
