Southdown

I gave my last bag of Southdown away (to be nice) and my wife decides a week later she wants to convert a freshwater tank to a nano reef tank.

Now I need one bag of Southdown.

Anyone have tips on which Home Depot has some?

Hey, I gave you a bunch of crap in return to help your jawfish find a nice place to live. You are always more than welcome to come on over and pick up a bag from me. I acquired a few more bags. I also have some in a bucket that you can have. You prolly don't need a whole bag.

I certainly don't need a whole bag - and I really appreciate the rubble you provided. My jawfish really likes it! It was the perfect size, and he's using it piece by piece to line his little cave. He looks very happy.

The nano tank is only 3 1/2 gallons, so it won't take much to cover the bottom.

Are you going to the next TCMAS meeting?

I'll bring a bag of something or another for you, if I can make it to the meeting. That's a mighty small tank, even for a nano. Glad your jawfish is doing well.

What size tank is your 3-1/2gallon so I can guess how much sand to bring tonight?

It's maybe 12" by 6" - a bowfront acrylic tank. They sell them at Something Fishy. I think it's made by Eclipse.

Does that help? My wife will be at the meeting tonight.
