Something I never thought I would see...

I was taking a look at my rather large green carpet anemone when I saw it starting to expel something...

Then i went to the other side of the tank, still not sure what it was...

Then to my amazement, i realized it was my 8" Blond Naso Tang. HOLY COW!!!!!!

I hate to say it but fish shouldn't play on the carpet. Sorry for the bad joke but your not the first person to post something like this nor will you be the last.

I feel your pain. I lost several fish to a green carpet before it was evicted from my tank.

Wink

The one question to which i will never have an answer is.....did he die, then get caught by the carpet, or did he get caught by the carpet, then die?

For my poor Naso, i will never know. It is pretty cool how it picked him clean of his meat and left the scales and bones.

Anyone interested in a very gentle, tame, non-fish eating 18" Green Carpet Anemone?

My LTA killed my Naso Tang a month ago roughly. Sorry about the loss, when I found my Tang it was cleaned to the bones, kinda neat how it only took a day and a half. I think the crabs, snails and Cleaner shrimp aided in the cleaning though.

My money is on the Carpet killed him.

They are cool looking anemonies, but they are very good at what they do... eating fish.
