Shrimp molting

My cleaner shrimp just molted and I'm wondering if I should remove the discarded skeleton from the tank. Is there any benefit to leaving it in??

It shouldn't take more than a couple of days for it to be consumed by other scavengers. Mine molts fairly often (even though I stopped using Lugols 6 months ago) and the molt is gone pretty quickly. I agree w/ nothing to worry about here.

leave it in the tank for sure. The shrimp will pick at it as well as the other bottom feeders. It is beneficial to the shrimp though, as they are able to use the nutrients of their molt to build their current shell "harder". It should be gone within a few days, but if not i would take it out and trash it. be sure to check your calcium levels in the tank to make sure that they are proper. If not the shrimp will not molt and grow new shells properly.

good luck
