Rich, have you seen any mated pairs at SF? I'm looking for one.

no i don't think so-they tend not to get breeding pairs (exceptions being clowns or shrimp) because the price really escalates. i wouldn't really know what to look for with bangaiis as far as pairing them up-if you want to explain it to me...

I believe they are put together in pair or group of three, and then the male and female will pair up (if it's a male and female) or they will fight (if they are the same sex).

Unfortunately I don't believe there is a way to sex Bangaii individually by eye.

Hey Rich, any chance SF going to get any Soloman Island True Perc soon?

Been waiting for close to 4-5 months now. It seems Soloman Island Percs are really really hard to come by this time of year. Baahh...should have bought a couple in December when there were lots.

Thanks,

Beng

There have been a number of club members with breeding pairs. I don't know how active they are in the club now. For sure Clyde and Minnreefer ( Jon ) have breeding pairs. You could ask if they have any fry available. I got mine from Jon.

Barry, I was thinking just for individual ones tank raised fry. Don't know they would be willing to get rid of the mated pairs. But could use one of the fry if you could pair it up with a wild or with a fry from someone else. Trying to pair them up particularly at young age would be difficult and usually you can't tell the difference until they are pretty old.

I was spoke with Mike Mcclain about 2 months ago and he just did the trial and error method. I'll just have to try that and perhaps I'll get lucky.
