Seaweed
So I guess my last post was too long. Short and easy: what should I do for seaweed to feed my fish? It is significantly less expensive to buy in a grocery store than to buy the stuff packaged for fish consumption? Any other thoughts/advice/etc?

Both my tangs and even my coral beauty eat seaweed. IMO, the prepackaged stuff from the LFS is cheap. A $5 package lasts over a month. I feed the seaweed on oposite days of their regular feedings.

How long does that stuff keep? It'd dried, so indefinitely?

It keeps awhile, if sealed.

Just buy the stuff at the Asian grocery store. Find some Nori. The Sprung "seaweed selects" or whatever it's called is the exact same stuff. How do I know? Because I've bought both.

Is that the same stuff you see sushi chefs use as the wrapping of some rolls?

Hmmm, sushi. I'm going for lunch tomorrow.
I have seen the nori at Cub in the Asian section. Probably OK for the fish but not so good for me. I prefer the stuff from Untied Noodles.

I buy this stuff from an asian supermarket on University Ave just East of Dale. It's cheap and my Naso loves it.

I use Ocean Nutrition green and red for my inverts occasionally. No fish yet that are vegitarians. I had a Naso Tang that wouldn't touch the ON or Romain lettuce.

Some day I hope to find out. There was a restaurant in the same building as our hotel. We ate there twice, and it was delicious both times. I must say, that Sake really blows, though. Ick. That I could do without.

Did you drink it warm or cold? I've never had any that taste bad.

It was a cold sake. I've had warm sake too, but just don't care for the stuff.
