R.I.P. bubble tip rose anemone


last night i was lookin for my anemone when i noticed little tiny pink things all over the place. then i saw the carnage!! a maxi jet 1200 with a well what looked like a condom streched over it!!!!! not a good sight!!

Suck We cant even stop them with gutter guard. We deffinatly put sponge over all the maxijets.

Fortunately for me, MJ have only caused enough damage to cause BTAs to split and not death. But wiser now and use the foam inserts on Maxijets ( even though extra maintenance to keep clean ). Unfortunately we here this scenerio too often even in our little forum.

you could also use a hydro sponge as well. www.kensfish.com has super cheap prices on them. I used them with my MJ's in my freshwater breeding tanks.
