Protein Skimmer AquaC EV 1000 and Iwaki Pump

This skimmer is great for larger aquariums. The pump and skimmer are 5 months old. You can buy them together for $700. I'm selling because I have added to my total system volume and need even more skimmer power.

AquaC EV 1000 Protein skimmer - $550 ($680 new)

Iwaki MD70RLT - $220 (pump works perfectly, but fan cover is damaged. $287 new)

I'm not sure yet. The AquaC worked great for what we had, but now that we've added a good amount to our total volume of water we need more skimming power.

I will sell both of these together for $700. I will also ship it to anyone for free or meet as far as Minneapolis. This is a great deal on a great skimmer!

Just checking to see if anyone might need a large skimmer now. The deal is the same as before.

good deal, too bad I won't need that size skimmer for a year or so! Why not keep it and add another skimmer to the system?

We would love to add another skimmer, but it make more $ense to sell this skimmer and just get a larger one. If you need a larger skimmer in a year you should consider buying this one. It'll work just fine on a smaller aquarium until you upgrade (unless we're talking less than 75 gallons).

If you have a sump that is large enough this skimmer would keep your aquarium very clean. However, I would NOT recommend you buy this skimmer if you weren't sure about upgrading down the road. It would be over kill if this was the only aquarium it was used on. If you are looking for a good skimmer just for a 72 bow you should look at the AquaC Remora (or Urchin if it's for a sump).
