Protein Skimmer?
What would be a good skimmer for my 55 gal reef. right now I'm running or should I say throwing out the window a seaclone. I don't want to spend more than 150 clams. any one have any sugestions or comments.

I have the urchin pro for sale if you have a sump. Same thing as the remora just the in sump model. It would work great on a 55, I ran it on my 75 sps which I thought was borderline so on a 55 I think it would work great for you.

Ouch...no love for the seaclone? I have one on my 65 and it works great. It is nothing ultra cool but does the job.

I hated my SeaClone. It sucked.... In The Bad Way... not the way it was supposed to. I couldn't even fill the cup in the month that I had it. So I returned it and got an AquaC Remora Pro, That Sucks the way it's supposed to. I love it. I have to Empty the collection cup every two-three days.

Do you have a sump? If so, how large? I have an old MR3 for CHEAP. All you would need to buy is a pump.

Have a sump a Turbofloter 1000 will kick butt! It does on my 125! Otherwise the Remora is decent, and I have seen Sea Clones work pretty good, except notice that all of them will push foam up on top and drain over and stain walls and stuff, I am sure you could modify it to have a remote collection jug.
