MJ pretty much set the standard when it comes to powerheads.

MJ900 hold the advantage to a 1200 when it comes to adding less heat to your tank ( which can make an impact on a little 25g tank and less wattage ( 8w vs. 20w ) per gph ( 230 vs. 290 ) makes a better buy for a nano IMO.

The mods are pretty good. However, I did see your looking to get an RBTA from the guy that's getting out of the hobby. The mod MJ will not be very friendly to the anemone if it starts to wander. If in fact the anemone will go into this tank you will also want to invest in the foam blocks that go on the intake as they can get sucked into and damaged or lost. Occasionally can get lucky and the damage cause a split but not worth the risk.

premiumaquatics is as good as anyplace to get them ( have both the pumps and foam protectors ) and shipping is closer ( few hours outside of Chicago ) than most others mailorder places based out of CA. If you planning to go to Dirks meeting on Saturday he for sure will have some too......Occasionally you see places like Dr. FosterSmith put them on sale for 25% off. Thats typically when I stock up on extras.

thanx david. i was not planing on the mods i was joking. i have seen what they do. gregerson has lost 2 anamanes in the past month because they started to wander around. not pritty. i will probaly go with the 900 because of what u said. my tank sits around 76.5 to 78.5 depends on the time of day and it took me a while to get it there so i really dont need ne more heat!!!

Seamonkey, mjmods.com, has 900's too. He has fast shipping also. I bought some parts to do the mod from him and is was very fast and easy.

Did you see the anenome prop tank here? You absolutly have to cover the MJ with a sponge. I use the 900s too, biggest flow / watt.

Sea monkey has a solid price for the MJs. You might be able to pick them up.

Thats funny when I think of that 10g you had with one in there. The water was moving so much it was nearly spilling over the tip of the tank.
