Question

Plumbing help for ro unit.

Is it bad to hook up the ro unit to a sink adapter that replaces the airator screen thing? I ordered one when i bought my ro just to ensure that i can hook it up. The other piece it is supose to come with is an inline sink adapter. I looked at all my sinks and they are plumed with rigid coper tubing. The next option is to rig up something coming off my shutoff valve for my water/icemaker. The like is 1/4" copper running to my fridge. Not sure what the thread size is or how exactly to do this. I would like not to flood my house so safe and secure sounds good to me. Piercing is not an option.
Thanks for the time,
Joel

Got a washer/dryer hookups in the house. You can get a Y hose adapter for a couple of bucks from home depot to put on the cold water side of the washer. Plus there should be a drain closeby........

If you going to use occasionally and store in-between uses, you can buy a quick adapter that threads into your faucet so you don't have to unscrew it all the time. When I lived in an apartment this is how I used it. Cost like $10 in the faucet plumbing section at Home Depot.....
