OT: Snakes
I'm not from the cities so I haven't been around to too many of the LFS up there. Just wondering if there are any good shops or breeders up there that any of you are aware of that carry snakes?

Thanks guys, so I take it I should PM smeese,,,err...well respond to his PM to me...which I did.
I'm not looking for anacondas, just some pretty little ball pythons.
For the time being I'm just looking around to make sure I have plenty of local sources for snakes (I'd like to stay away from shipping if possible) and to broaden bloodlines for when I start breeding.
You TCMAS guys/gals are good people! I'll have to come up sometime, look at snakes, and pick up some frags! LOL

you may want to check out twin city reptile in st paul. when i was really into my boa constrictors they were about the largest exotics pet store in the metro and i have been to them all. another one is exotic aquatics. i think that one moved to fridley or something.

TC Reptiles on University near the Cretin ave exit off 94. By far the best place around although I think Petco (snickers internally) has a sale going right now on all snakes. I saw a king snake for like $20 in Highland Park and was tempted.

once you start breeding here is a link to some invaluable information http://www.kingsnake.com/ also have have classifieds for some beautiful and rare specimins for a fraction of the cost. shipping isnt so bad either. i had done it a couple times when i was going to start breeding to get some hets. for very rare color morphs and such. its no worse than say shipping fish and corals.---scott

Thanks for the link, I've been on Kingsnake for almost a year already, well since I got my leopard geckos. Some of the hets that I've put on my wanted list came from kingsnake breeders, but I wanted to broaden my options with locals and make an excuse for a road trip.
Thanks everyone!
