Pretty much you are looking at overriding the "cell" features and have it function as a normal land line. I have never heard of anyone doing that. Dont know if would be possible considering you would have 2 numbers, one for home line and one for your cell.

I was thinking of something like the base of my cordless home phones....just drop your cell in it and have it feed into all the phones in the house....then no more Quest bill.

Keep in mind all the different places where you are required to give your phone number. Without the Qwest bill you would have to list your cell number. Not sure what the laws are but I would hate to get all the junk calls I get at home on my cell phone.

Well there is a feature on your phone but you need it to do it. First dial *72 on your home phone and then dial the number you want. Answer the call on your cell phone and it is set to go. It sort of fowards the call from the home phone to any phone number you want. I use it all the time since i have dial-up and it works great. But it is a feature on your home phone so i dont know if it will work I think it is called call fowarding

YES 1 . How many cellular phones are compatible with Dock-N-Talk?
We support over 700 cell phone models currently including most all Sony Ericsson, most all current Motorola, many Nokias such as 5100, 6100, 7100, 6300 series and all Bluetooth cell phone models. See the Cell Phone Compatibility Chart on the web site for specific models.
2. Do I need to have an active wireline service to use Dock-N-Talk?
No, the Dock-N-Talk does not need an active wireline service to work. The Dock-N-Talk uses the wires already installed in your home or office. Moreover, it is completely compatible with and may be used in conjunction with wireline service.
3. Can I get rid of my wireline service and still use Dock-N-Talk?
Yes, you can eliminate wireline service and still to use the Dock-N-Talk. A significant advantage of using the Dock-N-Talk is that you can cancel your wireline telephone service and “cut the cord” and go fully wireless. With the cost savings from eliminating wireline service, the Dock-N-Talk will help pay for itself in just a couple of months.

I have done this for 5 years now as well and I have never received a call trying to sell me siding or whatever. I have listed my cell number as my home number for about 10 years and have had no issues what so ever.

I also use call forwarding from my personal cell to my work cell so I only have to carry one. You can forward from any number to any number by using the *72 feature for forward and the *73 feature to un-forward. I have noticed that I get charged the minimum call charge (1 minute) for every call I forward to my work cell so it isn't free per se.
My 2 cents...

I have a cell as my home phone. I have no problem with junk calls. I got sick of paying qwest $31 a month just for the phone. No call waiting, caller Id ...nothing and it still cost me $31 a month. I added another cell to my current plan for $10 a month plus I get a 25% discount on my total cell bill through my employer.....so for $7.50 a month I have caller id, call waiting, text messaging....everything. Bye Bye Qwest.
