Nylon stocking to trap bristle worms?

Anyone else try using nylon stocking to trap Bristle worms?
Read a couple of post where people suggested using nylon stocking.

My tank has alot of bristle worms and there are 4-6 huge Bristle worms that are 9-10 inches long.

Don't feel comfortable about having these big guys in my tank so I'm trying to catch them. The other night, I put a piece of shrimp in a old stocking and put it in my tank, immediately a couple of these big guys came to the food but they didnt' get entangle in the stocking (they were suppose to get entangle in the stocking because of the bristle hairs). Wrong stocking material?

2nd attempt, I cut a plastic 7oz pop bottle and invert the top and tie a piece of shrimp on the bottom of the bottle. Again, the large bristle worms went for it but they will only extend halfway into the bottle and not get into the bottle. If I move the bottle a bit further fromt the rocks, the bristle worms wont come out at all.

For those of you that have that bristle worm trap, when you set it, the bristle worms actually crawl into the green plastic tube right?

Sorry for the long post, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

My Emperor 400 does a good job with them too, now I have great control over them and no longer worry or see thousands of these things.
