I have been scouring the web and picking peoples' brains for a good way to get rid of aiptasia and I just found something new today that no one else has touched on ...

Intead of trying to inject or poison the darn thing, I read that you can just take a small hunk of that aquarium 2 part epoxy and stuff it over the aiptasia and its crevis (99% of the time I have found they are in some sort of crevis or hole). Algae and coraline will grow over the small hunk of epoxy, or use the spot to mount another coral.

So far this method has made the most sense to me. Everything else seems hit or miss.
