New plans...

I am gonna get a new 150 show tank and have it drilled so I can ditch the overflow box....I am also gonna lose the sand and the red bugs in the process! I think(and chime in if your opinion differs) I am gonna move all of my corals (SPS) into my 65 and hang a 400 over it to ensure life. Treat for the 3 weeks plus 1 extra treatment for good measure. While treating I am gonna condense my system down to the frag tanks and 40 breeder fuge. While doing this I am gonna switch tanks out and put in a drilled one (maybe even an acrylic replacement.) and rescape my rocks and go from there. I am debating on just skipping the starboard and going completely bare bare bottom.I was even thinking of drilling in a closed loop or two in the process. Any thoughts on drilling the bottom of the tank and closed looping it there? I would blow across the bottom and keep that nice and clean if it is possible. Let me have it witht the feedback guys because I really want this done the best way possible! Thanks Steve
Also anyone intrested in my old tank? It is in perfect shape. It is a perfecto I think. 48"X24"X30" I think

if you go acrylic have the over flow box made external. it saves a ton of room in the tank for corals and rock. plus its easer to feed you skimmer directly off the overflow that way. and it gives you better skimming if you have the entire back made into an overflow. it would be hard to do that with glass.

did redwinger talk to you about a sample of red bugs to send down to eric borneman? if you could clip a piece of coral with them on it, that would be great. eric needs them live, to study.

if fed-x and ups had a class action lawsuit brought against them for freight damages this hobby would be alot cheaper!

the treatments are done a week apart.. thus 3 weeks of treatment.... Although things are popping up all over that the LRBs are live-bearers and so one treatment is enough but most do a second to be safe... I prefer to do the 3rd just in case in case.....

I hate to see you go with acrylic, but to each to each. But if you do want to have it drilled on the bottom for a closed loop, acrylic IS the way to go since you would have to order a glass tank custom drilled during production in order to have all the wholes the right size and where you want them. Good luck with the new set up and conversion!
