New PH probes for $25 - LMK ASAP

As part of the Wireless Recycled Reef Controler (WRRC) project I'm working on we are ordering PH probes. If anyone wants one either for their own WRRC or else other PH meter, we are putting in a group order.

Probes are from www.weissresearch.com and are the 24/7 monitoring Electro-Jelly model. I don't have the exact details on them, but they are supposed to be better quality with the electro-jelly and last longer/be more accurate. I think they run around $50. We are ordering 10+ so they quoted us $23 each. With shipping they should be around $27 from what it sounds.

If anyone is interested in getting a new probe at this price, you have to PM me or post your interest by 3:00pm today (1/28/05) since one of the guys is placing the order today.

Sorry about the short notice!

I'll let you know the exact price when he ships them to me, but should be around $27 each I'm guessing. You can pick them up from me in Oakdale if you like.

Can these work with the Pinpoint Monitors and the Aquacontroller? They all have a BNC connection..

If so, I want 3...

Greg,

I'm doing the group buy and I will try to find out for you. Does the Pinpoint probe work for the AQII? And vice versa?

The reason I'm asking is that these are "standard" pH probes. What it really does is output voltage and the software in the Pinpoint and AQII calculates the slope from callibration to equate it to a pH.

I'll let you know what they say if they have experience with either one of those devices.

Yes...probes are slightly different sizes but output is the same. They are interchangeable....

Greg,

They say it will work. They told me to just match the connector (ie BNC) for the impedance required for the device.

Greg,

No you don't need to. The BNC connector is used for probes of a "Certain" type of impedance. At least that is my understanding when they told me just match the connector.

jg24,

I should have a few extra, once I get conformation. They are yours if you still want them.

The new ph(one) probes are here. The phone books are here. (spoof of The Jerk).

Cost is $22.80, since it was only .80 to send to me for each, I don't think it should be more than that to resend out to you guys. I'll try to ship them out tomorrow and give an exact total.

I've tested mine with the AQII and works great. Next to make it work with WRRC.
