Minnesota Weather

Tonight's plan on showing up for a meeting failed....miserably....first, getting out of work finally at 7:20, then taking 40 minutes to drive home; what normally would take about 12....finally got to 100 and 494 at 9:00 p.m.....didn't want to show up at 10:00....So, sorry David, if you brought the skimmer, and Dirk, the reflector and ballast. I'm not bailing on you, I had the $, but with little sleep and a hard day at work, I just gave up on trying to beat time.....have to get some dinner in me, and I'll PM you two to set up dates to meet or pick up the stuff.

weather was great...LOL!
only took us 2 hours to get to Monticello from the meeting....and only another 25 or so from there to Cloud. no snow past Monti
the south side of the cities was worse then the north side for snow and roads.
funny thing is we never saw 1 single plow all the way back...yet roads were not plowed....so where were the plows? lol

I guess I did not miss much by way of weather by not being able to go to the meeting. It was not bad here in Duluth at all a little cooler but no snow.

Jerry, the plows finally went out this am....even roads around here were crappy early this morning....

I got stuck in the ditch on the way back from my son's wrestling practice. At least I got a snow day out of it today. Someone had to stay home with the kids right?

MnDot said the roads were great?! That's laughable!

I could not believe how bad the downtown Mpls streets/sidewalks were, not to mention 35W. So, with the high taxes in this state (3rd highest in the nation, I believe, in 2002), shouldn't I at least SEE a plow SOMEWHERE? I didn't--not even one. What's up with that--my wife and I thought it was really odd. Strange even.

MNDot said they changed to 3-8hour shifts from the 2-12 hour shifts.
I did not see a single plow the night of the meeting all the way there or all the way back...roads were plain old bad.
but yet no plows.....hum..where were the plows? lol
