maroon clow feeding anemone pods

I just watched my clowfish track down a pod and feed it to my rbta. One more reson not to target feed this guy. Since I have gotten my water quality better this guy is looking sweet. Thanks for all the advice TCMAS members.

i read somewhere they they are not trying to feed the rbta , they are trying to horde food for later and don't realize that the rbta will eat it .

made me think , how they hell do they know what the fishes intentions are : )

LOL

Exactly, how would someone actually know that???

My clown in the RBTA is always the center of attention for visitors at my house.

It is a VERY cool relationship. Not to threadcrap, but I finally got a pair of clowns that host in my RBTA last weekend. I happened to run across them at Petco (I know....) but there was a sebae anemone in there and two clarkii's which appeared to be paired off sharing the anemone. I figured they had the best shot of hosting in mine.

Anyhow, I've watched them for hours since, and it so interesting to see the difference in behavior between the non-hosting False Perc I had and the now hosting pair of Clarkii's. It makes you realize just how much of a full ecosystem we create in our homes that many people never experience.

Nice pic. I got rid of my false percs. Booooring! Just swam around my powerheads. I have a true perc now in my RBTA.

I tell people about LR and they are amazed how it works, gives them an idea of all that takes place in the little cube of water.

I have been pretty lucky. i have 5 different types of clowns and all of them host. They will host pretty much anything. My Maroon host my gigas clam. My black saddle back will host mushrooms, leathers, clams...well anything.
