Mantis

I have a mantis in my tank that I can't catch. Any suggestions? He has been there for a while, but now he is whacking things in the tank. He is about 2 1/2 inches long.

Do you know where he is hiding?
If so, a trap is probably the best bet.

I took the rock he was in and put it in high salinity water. He wouldn't come out so I kept adding salt and I guess he died in the rock from it, but it worked

easiest way is to find out which rock is it's home. Make it accessable to get it out of the tank.
Find him, pull the rock out. Squirt some iodine, kalk paste, which ever. It will come out and be at the bottom of the bucket. If it does not, keep the rock in the bucket over night, it will eventually come out.
Do what you want with it. Someone may even pay you for it.

...and after he takes a piece of flesh, I will still take him off your hands for you. Let us know if you catch him. Good luck.
