LRB Treatment take one!

On mon I am gonna start the dirty deed. I almost started last week but was in debate. I am wondering....Could I just move all the acro to a 30 gallon and treat just them. I finally have a great copo/iso population along with 3 fire shrimp, and 2 cleaners and a pistol and many crabs I wish not to anialate. Anyone have a 250 watt 20k halide laying around they could part with cheap or borrow out for a month or so? I am gonna set the 30 up as a permanant Q tank and never have this problem again! By the way. all of my acros are removable and not grown in yet so it is much more simple than a tank like Troys with everything grown together! I can not wait to get there though!

You need to treat the whole tank and treat a minimum of three times.

If you were to move them out to a holding tank, you will need to research how long they can survive without a host and not put them back too early. If you miss just 1 coral that has may have some on it, you will be doing this all over again. It is definately more risky to attempt treating them seperately.

I personally would treat the whole tank and be done with it.....

whole tank it is. I can probably get my anenome crab and for sure I can get my mantis out but the fires will be tricky and the cleaners may be caught we will see. Anyone have any of this stuff live in the process? Also anyone got the hookup on alot of iso/copo pods I could buy to restock for my mandarin? Thanks for the input guys! I do not want to do a half ass job because I want to have clean frags to sell without the worry of cross contamination

I am planning 3 treatments every Mon at 6 am when I get home from work. I will sleep for 7 hours and do a water change and add carbon when I do that. Also will remove anything that may die off. For a 220 gallon system will a 40 gallon water change be enough or should I go 55 to have exactly 25%? My new years resolution is to Q everything and be gone with these pests!

My porcelein crab made it through and most cleaner shrimp as well. The little acro crabs and any hermit crabs won't make it so move them to another system......

Since you run carbon after dosing, I don't think it will matter much if your a little under 25%. More of a guildline IMO than anything.....

Thanks anyways but I guess I will not need to do a temp setup. If you wish to sell for my Q tank I would consider but if you have future plans for it I understand completely! Thanks for your generous offer of the loan~
