Looking for old junk heater

I looking a spare heater for pre-heating my saltwater mix. Anyone have an old one lying around they want to unload for cheap?

I was doing a water change over the weekend and pulled out the PH & heater and set them aside while I dumped in the new mixed/heated water. I thought I unplugged both the PH & heater, but only pulled the PH cord. When I refilled the mixing bucket with water and dropped in the PH/heater, the heater had super-heated and shattered

BigRed, How big of a container and what pump are you using for circulation. Reason I ask, providing its not a huge container, usually a submersable pump with the lid on the container will heat the water up without a heater in 24hours. Makes for one less thing to go wrong......

I've temporarily been using 6 or so gallon buckets from IO salt mix, but have a 32g Brute trash can that I'll be using very soon. I have a maxijet 1200 in there mixing.

Well, I know for sure a 6g bucket with a MJ 1200, put the cover on ( just sit it on top as you can't close it because of the power cord ) and will heat your water up to 80 degrees no problem without the use of a heater if left at least overnight. That's what I do for my 58g.

You will need a bigger pump on the larger container, I haven't tried myself but likely a Mag drive or Ocean Runner pump will do the same. Perhaps not a 35g full of water but probably closer to 20g without the use of a heater.
