Looking for a powder blue tang.
I am looking for a powder blue tang. I would much preffer getting one from an established tank than over the internet. I got corals, I got money (well, not really, but thats what ebay is for ). Smaller is better. LMK.

Man, too bad you weren't looking a month and a half ago when Petco had those killer deals.

At least with Dr. F&S they have a 14 day "warranty". and even with that I would prefer it came from a good home.

I was thinking after> I figured I would ask to see if there was someone who had one they were thinking of getting rid of.
Side note- would it be better to buy one at an LFS or order online?
Online has a 14 guarantee.?

Personally, I would spend the extra and buy locally so I could inspect it real well before purchasing. Regardless online or local would still quarantine......
Online guarantees don't mean much to me when you still have to pay for the shipping to resend....

werd
plus you can put $$$ down to hold the fish for a week or so to make darn sure it is healthy and eating well before you bring it home. It might sound like a pain in the butt, but a nescessary precaution with PB's IMHO.

I agree with Dave. If I was getting a PB, I would ensure it was eating, it's color was good, HLLE free, active, etc. Even better if you see how they are with other fish, then you get kind of an idea of the individual's tempermant.
Whatever you do, quarentine. These guys can succumb to ick in no-time flat.

I will sell you my PBT for $85, which is what i believe I paid for it. It is an awesome fish and I hate to get rid of it, but I want one that'll rid my tank of this algae I have, so I'm going to get a naso instead. I'm fairly certain the PBT will kick the naso's butt, so the PBT has to go. I'm going to have to mull this around, and I may let the naso establish some dominance first by catching him, putting him in the 40br for a week or two, add the naso, then reintroduce the PBT. If he kicks butt again, then out he goes...so if you don't mind waiting, this may be an option.

I am fine with waiting, infact I require it. As I am moving my tank at the end of the month. Wonder if I put a PBT and a purple tang in the tank at the same time? Think they would be ok? Differen body shapes and simultaneous introduction.
Derek- how big is it?
