Local Tank Builders

Can anyone recommend a local acrylic or glass tank builder for my next project. I'm looking at a 48x36x24 or similar. I have a 36x24x24 from Midwest Custom Aquarium and it's great but I just want to see what else may or may not be available.

Thanks

I like oceanic, glass is the best for the reefer. Custom overflow were you need them and how big did you need them .

Plus unless you go starphire the clarity is not as good as acrylic.

Acrylic pros
Design possibilites are virtually endless
clarity
lower weight
easy to drill
better insulator than glass

Cons
scratches easily

Glass pros
cost (in most cases)
Doesn't scratch as easy

Cons
Heavier than acrylic
not as clear (unless using starphire)
Not as customizeable
Not as good a insulator as glass

You got your insulation cons mixed up.
acrylic cons are scratch and need to support the whole bottom, not just the edges.

also for glass: advantage: doesn't scratch easy and disadvantage: if it does, its not fixable (acrylic is).

40,75,120,120,125?,180 There are a couple decent glass sizes but defiantly more possibility with acrylic.

I would argue that that is a con - heating is a lot easier then chilling

BIG BIG PRO using glass for reef tanks is it is much easier to clean. Glass also has larger openings then acrylic tanks. BIG con with glass is that the silicone joints have a finite lifetime where a acrylic tank joint will last forever.
