Live rock 'lifts'

I posted a thread in the ECRC area but, would also like to ask all of you too.

I would like to put some live rock lifts in my thirty gallon tank. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can use?

I've seen a pic of pieces of pvc used in a tank. But, I don't know if I want to use those. It seems like detrius would get trapped in the centers of the pieces. I'd like to try something other than pvc pieces. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've heard of others using acrylic rod(3/8"-1/2").
I think someone else used the orange fiberglass reflector poles you can get from Home Depot.
I'm not sure about the fiberglass but the acrylic would work for sure.

I've used acrylic rods before and I think they work better than the ORANGE fiberglass ones. They tend to blend in more than the bright orange ones.
