Let's Play Nice :)
A word of advice and caution. When someone is trying to sell something, let them sell it however they want, even if you don't agree with their methods. If they are looking for offers, inquire about a price. Don't give a lesson/advice that someone may or may not want to hear. Not everyone is a professional when it comes to selling things, and people have different styles that suit their needs. If you want to send a PM expressing your concerns, please do so that way instead of out in public in their thread.
Jer/tico/me will try to come up with some consistent methods of "modding" posts to For Sale threads that don't help the seller.
****I will only leave this stickied for a week.****

I'm personally in favor of making it a forum policy that a price must be given much like the RC policy for sale forums. If you want best offer that's what ebay is for.......

I agree with Dave, it becomes to much of a hassle without prices posted.

Everything you ever buy has a price. If you don't like it than you offer something less or you don't buy it. To me it is that simple.

It is best to start with a common point of reference by giving a price. Then if you are willing to possibly take less or hope for maybe a little more than say or B/O. It is best in the sense that you may get more interest because some obviously shy away from the awkwardness of throwing out an offer. I know that is not easy for me either...

That's all great you guys have preferences, but other people obviously don't share your same preferences, so you should respect that. If you don't like it, can't help you there, and don't post.

How you come to that price, OTOH, is left up to the seller. And if you don't like how the seller is selling, than don't offer a price and don't buy it. It's that simple.

Yes and no. A price was not came to as none was listed. The collective whole was making suggestions to aid him in selling his stuff. On offer based sales the person buying usually wants a reference upon to guage their offer. For example price comes to mind. Frankly I could care less how someone sells something and I agree it is completelly up to them on how they choose to do so. If someone is asking for the price why wouldn't you not give that to them? All it is going to do is piss them off and they will look elsewhere. I personally along with the collective whole were making suggestions to make the sale easier for the seller. Was it criticism? yes, but constructive criticism it was . If it was taken any other way I deeply appologize. I am not one to personally attack someone for how they do something in a public forum and again if it was taken that way I apologize. On a side note I think that this is something that should be discussed at the business meeting as a whole and voted upon. As I don't believe that there are any rules on selling styles and I don't believe there is any on constructive criticism.
