I have had my 125 RR tank going for about 4 months now and to date I have not left for a weekend yet. Do I need to do anything special or at all regarding feeding my fish / animal corals I am going to guess not but. I just thought I would throw it out there. Just like leaving the kids for the first time if you know what I mean! Thanks ! Way the by I really had a great time meeting you all at Ben's Thursday I look forward to meeting more of you soon. Cool Club !

!st welcome to TRT!!

Next as long as you are only gonna be gone a couple days there is no need to feed them at all IMO. Right now I am lucky if I feed once a week. But then again I only have 2 fish

Wanna tell us about you tank? Equiptment, Corals, Fish, Params, Feeding schedule?

I leave my tank every weekend for about 7 months now and nothing bad has happened to it. Just make sure your water level is where it should be for the evaporation of the water. Sometimes i add a little extra water before i leave on the weekend.

Welcome to TRT!If for only a couple days feed them big before you go.But I hope you have a top off system! Thats the most important and to have your lights on a timer and tohave a way for your protein skimmer from over flowing!Have a good time!

I left my tank for the first time on June 8th. I had my family leave without me, drove seperate, and didn't leave until 11:30 at night. I worried the entire trip, left after 36 hours. Cmae home and everything was fine. But that first time was horrible. If I go away for more than 2 days I am hiring someone to come once a day to check, then I will have them report in......I must add, I am an addict, I am a proud member of RKA! Taking it one gallon at a time

Let's put it this way: If your tank has been running fine for months, the chance of it running fine the two days you are gone is pretty darn good.
I don't think the tank knows if you are there or not. It isn't doing anything stupid just because you are gone

Weekend should be fine as long as you allow for top off water. If you are ever going to be gone longer, let me know. I can most likely reef sit since I am close.
