Kudos to Bob (jg24)!!!

I have been in the process of debating on a new skimmer/Carx/Kalkrx, and Bob at Reefmania has been very helpful as to answering questions, and discussing his products with me and how they differ from model to model. Believe me I had some questions as Calcium reactors and Kalk reactors are a whole new game for me as I have never had either. My skimmer order has been placed, and I am anxiously awaiting the difference in water quality. With all the equipment I am gonna go heavy duty with the plans to upgrade and plumb multiple tanks together in the future. The skimmer I chose to go with is the PS12-3 with the carbon cup, and wet neck add on, fed by a mag 7 and with 3 sedra 9000 pumps w/needle wheels for some crazy recirculatory action The rest of equipment is still up in the air, as it will be a couple months b4 I get that far! Thanks again Bob for your time and patience! I can not wait to come and see your tank! Steve~ One thing I have learned is just to go big right away, I can not count how many times I have upgraded stuff in the past, and how much money it probably cost for each upgrade inbetween! ICK!!

Similar to this guy, with only 3 pumps on it instead of 4. It is 12"X18" (30" overall) also has the option to add on more body later on! Sorry I stole your pic Bob!

Just a few months ago, I would have thought people were CRAZY for spending $500 to $1,000 on a skimmer. However, I am learning that "you get what you pay for". Like you said, by the time you add up all the upgrades...we spend more than just getting the quality item to start with.
(Penny wise and Dollar foolish).....I also agree that all the local vendors who frequent TRT are great about helping people out.
Kudos to you for taking the jump and making a great investment.

They can be mounted externally or in the sump. Mine is mounted externally.

Thanks for the nice comments Steve. Your skimmer will actually be a bit taller since you went to 3 pumps. More like 12" x 24" chamber. 36" overall.

The compliments were well deserved so thank you! Shucks...my skimmer is gonna be bigger than I thought? The bigger the better! Hopefully my circuit can handle the added load!

Its true Keith and Ed! That is a awesome way to do it! I can not wait to visit the store again this Sunday. I have been itching for a nice green bubble for a long time. That big one was huge! No room for that guy though.
