Just saw 4 black Ocellaris clowns at Petco

If anyone is interested, I just saw 4 black Ocellaris clowns at the Roseville Petco today. I was there picking up a couple of packs of frozen formula ones.

Looks fairly healthy, unfortunately they are all mis-bar.
Left side has normal white bars running from top of body to bottom of body.
Right side has white bars that run to middle of body and then another white bar from bottom of body meeting it in the middle.

$39.99/each.

Beng

I really like those black ocellaris. If they had good stripes I'd definitely be innterested

I suspect this depends in part on how young the fish are. If they are really small right now I would have greater confidence that maybe all will sort out alright as they mature.

My male Sol Is black perc had a less than perfect 3rd stripe when I got him (I think he was about 14 months old at the time, but far from fully mature, and did not have the black color developed yet), and he still has an imperfect stripe now after about 7 or 8 years.

I would be careful with those PetCo fish I bought a Coral Beauty during that last big sale. Well lets put it this way the CB is dead and I have an iched tank. I would make sure you have a quarantine tank before you buy any from there. So far I have been able to save my other fish. Just a word to the wise .
