Is this how I catch a crab?

Reading other posts...I think this is the idea. LMK if I'm doing it wrong.

I tied a piece of shrimp to a small piece of rubble - put it in a glass - then set it up against a piece of rock that i've seen him on/in a couple times. My pepermints are the only ones going after it for now.
