IO salt
Anyone see any deals lately?
Petsmart.com has started tacking on an extra $18 handling charge per bucket (but shipping's free, get that) so it's no longer a deal to go through them.
Dirk, what's your price?

Thanks for the clarification.
For a second there, I thought you were Dirk...
Cool, D-money. That may have to suffice for now...lots of saltwater to be needed soon.
PS - is your opener still open?
I'm gonna check this weekend to see if my pops has any plans for us going. Otherwise, how's your schedule looking?

I buy mine from Har Mar also
32.95 for a 160g IO bucket
bought too many I got like 6 in my stand now.
but yeah, prolly the best place to get em, if they are out - just ask em to order for you, they will take your name down and deliver on a monday (shipment comes in I think monday or tuesday) and you go over and pick up.

Forgot to mention these are in 25g and 50g bags in boxes, no buckets. With this being new to most of us, I am working on some kind of special. Details to follow very soon

Dirk,
You aren't selling IO anymore?
I'm not interested in switching brands. I've had "bad experiences"
IO or bust, baby.

I have been using the Oceanic salt for the past 2 1/2 months which amounts to about 60G so far. I like that it is easier to mix and the levels are closer to what we aim for in our tanks.
As far as livestock, there is no change, positive or negative, as far as I can tell..

I have been using the oceanic salt last 3 water changes. It mixes very fast even better than IO for me. Following the directions I get 1.024. I have to do more tests though. I am finding my calcium is staying around 450 after water changes with IO alot of timesIwould have it drop. I am happy with it and plan to keep using it. Plus I like the packaging in a closeable container ( 90 gal size is what I have) the top screws on, and I can easily shake the container to mix the salt up.

I bought a bucket of Oceanic for the restart. Since The only thing I measure is salinity, I can only say that my water is wet.
