interesting...
so...
unfortunately my male perc (a beautiful fish) up and disappeared about a month ago. i have no clue where he went...i looked everywhere...twice. but the other day i stumbled onto some nice small true percs (w/c) at sf. so i brought one home and things were great...cute little fish who assumed his role as the subservient male. apparently though this is the time of year for brooklynella parasite. consider this your warning! and now both my clowns are showing symptoms of it. anyways i swung back through sf today to pick up some formaldehyde/formulin. here's some info on treating with formaldehyde... http://216.168.47.67/cis-fishnet/seascope/99SS1601.htm
what i found interesting is that sf is now carrying some myreef creations stuff. they were unpacking a bunch of it and another face (albeit an infrequent one) from the boards is apparently playing middleman/repping it to sf.
some of you know i've worked for sf but at the same time i think you would agree that i'm not afraid to be critical of their practices. along those lines i hope that this will not be perceived as an advertisement...nor is it necessarily another criticism. just curious...and unexpected. hopefully greg won't see this post as a threat to his acrylic work, cuz while i've used both mrc and reefmania products i've always been more impressed with greg's stuff (reefmania).

I guess it's not that surprising given that MRC is a little larger and is now mass produced to the point where they could probably supply stuff to sf a little more easily than Greg, who only does this as a part time (OK, second full time) job. I still know who I'd buy my acrylic equipment from.

Yeh, I know the stuff is awesome. Since I now know first hand as to how long it takes to make this stuff. I would have never thought how much work just goes into making flanges.

I too have a reefmania showroom, and will have another if she lets me!
The funny part of this story, is SF told me to go to Greg for a CR and Kalk reactor.

I have only seen one piece of gregs (jerry's new tank) work so far and I am definately impressed. So there is no question who I will be getting what I need from.
