ideas for buying used???

so im trying to get some feedback, im debating about buying used, i found a 125g but its got a small crack in a corner, but besides that, i also learned that just from the tank being set up a different way that the pressure points can effect it and cause some problems. so here lies the question, shoul di buy used and risk all that, or should i pay a little more then double and buy used??

I never would pay double for it used even if someone famous owned it.But if if new it's worth it,tanks are ussly the cheapest part of the set upYou don't want to go thru taring it all down because of a leak or a scratched up glass.

don't risk it-get yourself a rr (drilled) tank while you're buying new...you won't regret it.

I agree....buy new. You should be able to get a brand new reef ready 125 for about $350. It is worth the extra cash in the long run....and it is the cheapest part of a salt system.

i'd only buy a used tank if i knew the seller.

but if it was cracked, i wouldnt even use it for a sump

stupid hobby, only three months, and i've decided i've outgrown my 46, but cant afford to do anything for at least a year.

Do you need a 125? I have a 46 bow with stand and custom hood for cheap. PM me if you are interested. There is more equipment that could be worked into a deal (lights/sump/skimmer/ect.)
