I beleive glass is good for aquariums 30 gallons or less. I have had a model like that^^^^
in a 150 gallon version and leaked after a year and three months. The salt begun to eat the cocking seal on the seams. I lost lots of $$$ on my sps when my glass tank crashed. So this time I went plexi glass with rounded front corners to have even less seams.

Believe what you want! 65 gal is lots different than a 150! Even then I don't believe the salt would could it to leak even in 10 years. All to his own. The only reason I'm not using it now is because I got a great deal on a 72 gal glass oceanic bowfront. I will set the 65 back up if no one takes it. Either seahorses, leaf fish or spiney box puffers!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Of course I am planning a bigger, faster, stronger system. It will be an inwall setup with a dedicated fish room, however I have to finish the basement first. I don't want to wait any longer to setup something, but I don't want to buy anything but the tank twice. Everything I buy except for the tank will be with the 180 in mind.

Thanks,
Tom

I have a 40 breeder drilled on bottom $65. I was going to set it up as a seahorse tank, but that is not going to happen anytime soon. I also have an all-glass 45 $40.
Welcome back!!!

I got a 37 tank and stand from Jerry. Now I just need a 250w light and a skimmer, and we are in business.

While your at it Tom I would ask Spazz about a building you a skimmer too... Just look at the posts Vertical that mentions Scott's skimmers that he makes. They are perfect for the big tank in mind.... especially if you want to start off with a smaller tank. He has made a ton of different ways to upgrade them if you decided to start out small, or of course you can always start out big!!
