I bought AC JR. now what??

Hey,
I just purchased the AC Jr. though the group buy. Although I haven't recieved it yet, I have a question about the wavemaker. What types of power heads works with this wavemaker (on the DC8)? I have a 20g, but hope to upgrade some time soon, so I can't have too big of a powerhead. Any suggestions so I can run 2 powerheads on the wavemaker?
Thanks in advance!

Majijets are the tried an true. Most pumps with the exception of maybe the Seio will also work because with the Jr. you can set the interval much longer than just a few minutes like some wavemakers are limited too.

Thanks Mary and David for the response.
I know this pump is waaay to big for my current tank, but for future reference, can the tunze nanostream be used on an AC JR. wavemaker? It looks like the future nanostream 6055 can be controlable. Are tunze products only controlable with a tunze controller? Or could an AC __ also control these powerheads? Just curious.

I'm pretty sure they can. I know the full sized streams ( I did it ) were okay to use on wavemaker as long as you the interval was no less than 1 hour. Too much switching on/off is not good on them. When I had them I ran mine using the following schedule so they I only turned them off once per day yet got varied current, used mine 16 hours on 8 hours off so that when using 2 streams, left side on for 8 hours, both on for 8 hours then right only on for 8 hours and did a great job on the 320g tank.

I worry with the streams that some critter may be in there when it turns on.

That gives me a great idea for a DIY feeder!

the 6025 and 6045 nanostreams can be switched on and off (the ac jr would work fine for that) so long as the period is >15 minutes-30 minutes to be safer. the electronic 6055 version has a fishsafe mode which slowly rotates the prop even when idle. all of the nanostreams are supposed to be supplied with a grate that covers the pumps output to prevent any intruders. the initial shipment did not have these (would have further delayed the shipment) however roger at tunze usa has said that he would send them out if requested whenever they come in-so they should be a reasonable option for you.

I don't know what powerheads to recommend, but I can suggest one to not use....

I have had bad results trying to switch Mag Drives on and off using an Aquacontroller and X10 modules. The pumps would fail, and the X10 modules would fail.

The direct connection would get around the X10 module failure problem, but I would still not use MagDrives this way. Sounds like the Maxijets might be a much better bet.
