how to clean brute 32g water storage

i use a brute for mixing and storing seawater. The container is starting to smell, say like wet towels. How should i clean this ?? i thought i read vinegar and water (tap or di? ) do i use a few gallons or fill it up??

I just use a spray bottle with 10% blench in it, spray on the sides and use paper towels to wipe it out. Then let it completely dry out before using it.....
