How many legs have you seen on starfish?


The pesky ones? I just plucked 2 out of my tank, one had 8 legs. So far as of tonight I have only found 4 of these stars in my tank, so I must not have a problem yet... But 8 legs, wonder how many they can get.

It had 2 full legs and 6 new sprouts.

Acanthaster planci


Here is a Crown of Thorns Sea Star ( Acanthaster planci ) that is know to have up 25 arms. I dont think it would fit in my 20 Gal long.

Cool thread! That is a scary looking creature. HOw about one of those in your tank, heard they were pretty bad.
