Help! ballast problem!

I just picked up a used 400W Blueline ballast and I am having problems with it. It fires the bulb, but then after about 10 min the bulb flickers and goes out. I am pretty sure the ballast is wired correctly. It is connected to a pfo spider reflector and socket.
Any ideas on what to troubleshoot?
Derek

I have a pair of used 20K xm bulbs. They are used and I think they are pretty old. It does the same thing with both bulbs.

One other thing worth a try, if the bulb isn't making a solid connection in the mogul it can cause to turn off after warmed up. If you take the bulb out and look inside the mogul, you will see a screw adjustment for the tab that touches the end of the bulb. Tighten or loosen the screw ( don't remember which ) to make the take stick further out. Also may want to try socket lube too, not only does it help make putting the bulb in easier but also helps connectivity.
