H&S Skimmer FS

H&S 110-F2000 Protein Skimmer FOR SALE!

H&S and Deltec are two of the best skimmers available-both of german origin and the inspiration for Euro-Reef. Deltec might get more publicity but the H&S skimmers are every bit the same wonderful skimmer! In fact they are both built around Aquabee needlewheel pumps (and Eheim pumps on the larger models-although I believe Aquabee is manufactured by Eheim).

This is the in-sump version conservatively rated to 100 gallons. This is NOT the recirculating model (denoted by an "A" preceeding the model #). The needlewheel pump included is the only pump needed (it pushes water thru the skimmer and whips up the foam in the process).

Here is a link to the product-offered by Brian of Finsreef.com-the US distributor for H&S products. Good guy to deal with!

http://www.finsreef.com/product.php?...cat=253&page=1

I purchased this a few months back-barely used from ReefCentral Classifieds...During our recent move it was briefly used to cure some new live rock. In total it has a couple months of use on it and its in excellent condition. I decided to go another route with the new tank so this babe is looking for a new home!

Retails for $380+ Looking for $225

Preference given to local parties. Shipping additional-but reasonable.

Thanks for looking!

I just really wanted a recirculating skimmer-nothing against this bad boy. I couldn't believe some of the dry foam this puppy produced. Unlike with ERs you actually have to restrict the air intake with these because they pull so much air that the bubbles merge and larger bubbles aren't as good for skimming. Even "dialed back" this pump produces more bubbles than the ERs 5000 size pump (now "sp3"-whatever).

i'm sure it could be done-it would take some creativity a few pvc fittings and skill working with acrylic. but there's no reason it would have to be modified at all. it will work well for someone as is.

if you've been thinking about adding a ER skimmer-this thing will kick its arse.
