Gotta love those blunders

Yesterday, I bought the 72g tank from Kathy. Brought it home. Wanted to clean out the sluge and stuff off the bottom as it smells pretty bad before going to bed.

The night before was the first time I had used our new 16g shop vac that has the built in pump that you hook a garden hose to and will pump the water as you suck it up. It worked great on our FW tank when we totally gutted it. no more luggin water to the drain when you get down to the last bit of water and all the sludge.

Anyway, I used the new vac to also clean up the new tank. I'm sucking this nasty sludge and got it totally cleaned and not a drop of water anywhere. When I look back I see the carpets are just soak splatters on the walls etc.

The night before when I took the hose off I forgot to screw the cap back on. The whole time I was sucking out the nasty sludge from the tank is was just spattering 10-15 feet all over the carpet/walls/furniture......

Lot of swearin going on as it was late and I was tired and now have to spend anther half hour cleaning up the new stinky mess.....

I can only imagine what it looked like when it was spewing all over the place.....

Thanks for sharing the story David.
