I know pickling lime is (or at least usually is) more coarse than kalk powder. Many people I know have had trouble with pickling lime wearing out impellers on kalk reactor pumps. It's the same chemical, and probably the same grade (I.E. food grade), but be careful with the particle size if you're running it in a kalk reactor. I run kalk powder in my reactor, and only kalk powder designed for aquarium use. I don't want to mess with new maxi jet impellers every few months...
