Gbta
I boought some coral at wet world a while back and got a hitchhiker GBTA it grew about to about 2 inchs across and is now splitting all the time. I have like 8 so far but they wont get any bigger befor ethey split. Are they like a miniture GBTA. They are not to much bigger then the little pink tipped anemones.

Pictures will help, but I have a strong suspicion/fear that you might have Anemonia. Larger Anemonia majano look a lot like bubble-tip anemones.

Yeah so I searched those on yahoo images and thats them. This really sucks as I have been all excited and target feeding them to get more. Th eonly thing is they are touching a leather coral and some zoos and have never killed any. So now what do i do? Thanks Capman and everyone else for the help.

Well I basicly had them all within 3 little rocks. One with some zoos but just cheap zoos that I have a lot of. I took them all out and there in a bucket and havent really decoded what to do with the rock yet. But at least I thinkn I got them all out. Thanks alot for all the help. Oh yeah and the fiance is proud because she has been telling me there probably bad and now shes right. Sucks when im wrong, expecially when she really doesnt know much about saltwater tanks. So one last thing are tulip anomenes ok. She thinks there bad to so I figured I better check just in case shes right.

I would like to get some of these. If anyone is trying to get rid of them I have a home for them. I have an agressive tank and don't keep any corals. I have aptasia all over the rock and those little guys are more desirable in my opinion. I would like them to take over my rockwork. PM me if anyone has been throwing these guys out. Thanks Ryan

Anemonia anemone 4/6/04
Hi, I attached a picture and have been going around and around with a few people about what exactly these little guys are called I have been calling them Tulip Anemone's and some people have been calling them Aiptasia Anemone's......lol Now I know the difference and would never give away the dreaded ones on purpose, but have I been doing that by mistake?
These guys in the picture split pretty easy when fed directly and are rather beautiful especially when you have a small cluster of them growing in the same area they do not seem to get much larger than a quarter. What do you think they are? Thank You for your time,

this is a Q & A cut and pasted from Wet Web Media....they are kinda cool looking!!!
In the right situation it would be neat to have a tank full of them IMO.

Those are awesome little anemones. I have about 20 of them in my tank. Those are not the ones were talking about tho. Ive heard some people think those are pests also, but they have never hurt a coral ive had. Luv-um. search on yahoo images.
