FS: 38g tank, livestock and rock for sale (St. Paul)

Tank set up for sale---

I’m already having temperature-related problems and with upcoming changes in my work and family life, I won’t have time to maintain my tank the way it deserves, so the time to sell it has arrived. At present, I’m going to try selling everything together for $650 (local only).

“Hardware”

38g All-Glass tank and stand – about 10 years old but in good condition

Coralife 2x96W PC fluorescent lighting (bulbs are 1 year old) + reflector

2 Amiracle counter-current air pump-driven protein skimmers (1-18”, 1-24”)

Tetra Luft air pump

Several small powerheads

1 Otto 2000 powerhead (2000 l/hr, barely used)

misc other equipment:

100W electronic fluorescent ballast from AH supply (for 2x55W PC bulbs), 24” PC reflector

2 lamp timers

2 x 7g water containers – will try to fill prior to sale

several 5g buckets

hydrometer, misc chemicals, tubing

about 15 lb CaribSea medium grain substrate, about 10 lb CaribSea Oolitic sand (neither ever were used)

10g aquarium

15g aquarium (long) with homemade stand

“Livestock”

>about 50 lbs of mixed live rock – Fiji, Caribbean

>tons of mushrooms – blues, purples, browns, some reds

>a thick stand of capnella

>10”x10” Sarcophyton leather coral (base at least 4 inches in diameter, is attached to large rock regularly drops frags worth $8 credit at LFS)

>several loose sarcophyton leather frags (1-3 inches)

>pearl coral, “U” shaped, roughly 12 inches in length

>small bubble coral (baseball size)

>Favia (Green, small cantaloupe-sized hemisphere)

>One colony of acropora 8” diameter, when happy is brown with green-tinged polyps, fast growing and tolerant of wide range of conditions

>Zooanthids – 2 small colonies - green with orange middle, some greenish brown

>A huge number of Ricordia yuma (tentacles surround mouth) brownish purple with green or orange mouths

>false percula

>brown scopas tang

>black sea cucumber (have had for about 9 years) and short-spined urchin

>some blue-legged hermits, a few purple montipora frags

>lots of misc polychete worms, spaghetti worms, limpets, some amphipods

Tank has never had problems with flatworms, isopods or caulerpa and always run well with minimal maintenance. Currently has some algae and cyanobacteria related to high nutrients (would rapidly improve by having crushed coral removed, water changes and regular maintenance). I had a temperature spike a couple weeks ago so the hard corals are a little light and the bubble corals a little small but recovering well.

Attached picture is from a month or two ago, won’t have me digital camera back for a couple of weeks.

As mentioned, I’d like to sell the entire set up as a package for $650. Local only, must pick up as I will not ship, but I’d be happy to help you take it down, and set up. Please email me at > tank.for.sale@gmail.com < for more information or questions.

Thanks-

Josh

I would be interested in the LR and zoos if you decide to split up.
