Question

Fish Advise

I'm looking to add the following fish to my 62:
Powder Blue or plain Blue Tang(I'll upgrade or sell if it gets too big
Firefish(plain or purple)
Mandarin(preferably green, but perhaps spotted)
I'd also like a school(4-6) of smaller fish. I'm thinking Green Chromis or Anthias(may grow too big?)
I also like wrasses and gobies but am not sure if they'd do well with these other fish. I also like the sand dwelling creatures that the wrasses seem to find tasty.

The tank currently has two maroon clowns, a bicolor pseudochromis, and a lawnmower blenny.

Do you see any problems with these fish being kept together?
Any suggestions?

If you have any of these you'd like to part with, PM me.
Or if you've seen good specimens at a LFS recently let me know.

I'm planning on stopping by OD tomorrow to see what they have too.

Anthias will definitley get too big. Firefish are awsome, why dont you just get an odd number of them to school? Just make sure you have a top on the tank, they are escape artists. A wrasse would probably be fine, as long as you once again have the lid, as they are jumpers as well.

Firefish school??? That would be cool!

I don't have a lid, but I have a canopy and the back is fully enclosed with gutter guard(for that purpose).

The only potential problem would be if they jumped onto the center brace(oceanic glass brace is about 15" wide) or the overflow cover. I guess they'd probably just flop around until the land in the water again though.

From your list

Powder Blue's are very easy to stress and will prob outgrow your tank.
Blue Tang will prob outgrow the tank quickly.
Firefish : Go for it, a school would be sweet
Mardarin : I hear that these dont do so well in smaller aquariums(ones under ~120 or so)
Wrasses are cool.

Just be careful to not overstock too much. With 4 fish already, it could happen quicker than you think.

depends on how long u want to keep them.Powder blues take a long time to grow along wit pacific blues. But they will go after each other and cause stress. Keep an odd number of fish u want to "school". Cause it is very rare that any fish will scool in a tank unless its over 400 gall. cause they need alot of room. Do u mean swim together? Cause fish in captivity rarly school. as long as the tank is big enough. Anthias if u dont have alot of exp wit fish its kind of hard cause its like keepin butterfly fish.Manderin if u dont have alot of "bugs" in ur tank it will run out of food quik, and starve. U have to wish it will take frozen food as a suppliment. As for fire fish never had 1 so i cant tell u sorry
