Finally up and running

After a couple months of reviewing and debating I have finally got my 46 Bow ready to get wet...here is what I have for it
192w Jalli PC light, 1 96w daylight, 1 96w Actinic
Aquamedics Turboflotor 1000 Protein Skimmer
Mag 5 sump pump
small powerhead beside overflow box
20 gallon long sump

My next step is ordering live rock. I was planning on about 45 lbs, and going to mix aragonite sand with aragonite live sand. Can I add the sand after I go to the store and buy 50 gallons of RO, or is it better to wait and put it in with the rock? They say the rock is precured, can I have lights on right away, or is it better to wait a couple weeks before I do? I was going to do 50% water changes every 4 days. Enough? Thanks again, Mike

If there is anything you think I should do, or shouldn't do, please let me know. Thanks, Mike.....tried to attach pic of tank, guess it's too big, and I don't know how to change that...

You will want to put the sand and live rock in first then fill with water. This way you get your aquascaping the way you want it. Also when you add your water the liverock will help clear up the water. If you are ordering live rock(I'm assuming its being shipped) you will have some die off, so I will recure a bit. But, thats all part of your tank cycle. I think most people say you can run your lights a couple of hours a day while your tank goes thru its cycle. I don't think your need to do that big of water changes right away. I may be wrong. I forgot the rule of thumb on water changes during cycle. Have fun with your new setup.
