What do you guys soak or dip your food in before you feed it to your fish. Please also say if you do nothing.

Selcon 1ml per day in 1/4 cup aquarium water mixed with:
1 cube formula one
1 cube brine shrimp
1 cube sweetwaters frozen zooplankton(previously fresh)
1 generous squirt of kent marine zooplex
let sit for 5-10 minutes and stir

Seperately add tablespoon of microvert and D'T's phytoplankton.

Pull some calerpa out of the main refuge and throw in for tangs.

Thaw one large frozen raw shrimp and feed to octopus.
Thaw 4 large silversides/sand eels and feed to cuttlefish.

46 bow

Current occupants

few Sps frags, foxface and perc clown, BTA, and tube anemone

2 krill thawed cut in half through-out the day for the tube anemone

1/2 krill thawed for the BTA when he will take it.

pinch of flake every day.

On the days I am feeling generous, I will put a cube of frozen in, either emerald entree, bloodworms, brine, mysis, etc etc.

On the days I am feeeling really really really generous, I will give the other half of the krill to the hermit crab, and other days put in in the sand for the nassarius snails.

I believe if you use quality food you dont need to add any nutrient supplements to the food. Unless a fish is stressed or sick and needs the extra nutrients.

For partial feeding of my fish, anemones, and LPS, I use shrimp, fish, and nori. Run through food processor to get different sizes from chunks to puree. Put in ice cube tray and freeze. For feeding remove one cube, thaw, and hand feed to tank.

Everything else gets live food.

FWIW
