Empty Water Jugs

Where can I buy empty water jugs around town?

I want to have top off water ready in 1 Gallon jugs (like milk jugs) so my neighbor can top off the water one at a time while I am out of town.

I know I can get the filled ones but they are "just" RO water, not "DI" grade of course.

I'd hate to have to buy full ones and dump them.

Any ideas ? I need about a dozen.

I bought my 7 gallon container at Fleet farm. $7 and some change each. Look in the camping section. It's one of the first isles to the left. They are square and blue in color with white caps

Wal-Mart has blue 7 gallon ones that are like $5.66 in the camping department, even have a spicket that could be used. They empty in about 20 seconds too.

I say goto Wal-Mart. I know that they have 1 and 5 gallon jugs by their water machine. Go grab what ever size you need and take em' home and fill em' up.

I use the five gallon homer pails from homedepot. Fill them with RODI and salt and cover them and then when I need it I have got about 25 gallons on tap ready to go. I just aereate for about twenty minutes and warm up the water a little and am good to go. For top off water I have a seperate container with rodi in it that I grab from with the 5 gallon pail's.

Redwinger, what do you use to cover your homer buckets? I couldn't find any lids for them when I got mine.

They have lids, they are just not by the buckets. I looked for about an hour one time, asked 4 people who worked there, they had no idea. Was just about to give up, when I found them by the garbage cans. Problem is they have the buckets all over the place (paint dept, tools, etc...) but the lids in only one place.

I just thought of something else on the lids: I know Menards has them, because I have bought them there also, and they do fit on the HD buckets.

One nice thing about Hudson: Menards and HD are about 100 yards apart from each other, and Fleet Farm is about 2 blocks away. Sometimes, I just sit in my truck in the driveway, trying to figure out which one to try first.
