These guys suckerd me into one of those as well ;p
It seems to work fine. We only do rate dosing with them so I think I wish I had purchaced the cheeper one now. The less buttons for people to push the better.
Make sure you get the right dosing membrain... and a spare... and a spare for me too

Are you using the Nautilis 2 then? Are you using the Recipe #1? I am, manually, and find that I have to shake the alk container before dosing as there is a lot of precipitate.

Recipe #1 at full strength is hard to get it all to dissolve but it will. Likely you just didn't mix good enough. Also, apply heat to the water to aid in mixing.
I use recipe #1 at half strength mostly because the litermeter can dose less than 50ml a day which full strength would require for my tank ( currently run 80ml at half stength ) so it's easy to dissolve for me but lots of reports of difficulty to dissolve at full strength and heat will aid.

It disolves quite easy when I heat the water It's after the fact... I'm pretty sure I'm shaking it well for about 10 minutes.

I can honestly say I don't have any particles in the bottom of the alk mixed at half strength. So if you heating already then can't help.
I do have a little particles settle in the CA portion which is brown( using driveway heat ) , I avoid using the bottom portion but I have been told it would be okay to do so.
Also the mag portions for sure needs to be shaken before each use becuase of settling.

Just curious, what recipe are you guys referring to? Is it Randy's two-part?

OK well i talked to him tonight about buying them in bulk and selling them on my site and apparently his source is drying up and there doesn't seem to be an alternative source so if you want one of these id order it soon . this is really to bad . it really seemed to be a quality alternative to the commercially made products.

I'm still quite please with the $61 one that I posted. I'm seriously thinking of getting the next size up for the big tank and selling the litermeter to recoupe some money for the new nano streams.

Dibs on the Litermeter if you were looking to sell it. Been looking for one to start dosing the 2-part.

David - I am impressed with the $61 pump you posted. I went to the site and saw the next step up, I think $71. Would you use that for the two part or kalk? Would it be possible to buy two of them for my setup, on to run kalk the other 2 part?

I talked to them about this actually. On certain motors they are able to mount 2 of the rotating drive heads to accomidate this. For me it was the motor that Dave pointed you to and then they would have put 2 of the smaller mm heads on there to drive them the same speed and amount. This extra would cost you about an extra 25 dollars the guy said. I talked with david and decided I wanted to seperate pumps incase my solution was a little off that I didn't have to try and adjust the strength of the solution I could just adjust the flow rate. I am currently doing this on my aquacontroller jr. and it is working great. The only problem I am having is that my DC8 doesn't seem to turn the pump off as it is to low of a wattage. This is the same problem I had with the airlifter. If I put them on the same circuit they still work so my plan didn't work as expected, but david is using the pump for kalk right now to keep his PH up at night I know. I plan to do this in the next couple of months also as money allows to get a PH probe and then I am going to try and tie the PH level to the kalk dosing to keep it up at night.
Great little pumps so far for the price.
Key notes though as they do need a chasis ground even though they only send 2 wires out of the motor to operate.
Edit: They would put 2 of the 1.6mm ID heads on a 30RPM 100FO motor for me is what they were talking about.

Reason: add pump sizing
